Why do all reservation requests have to go outside of the US to make a domestic reservation ?   The hot water didn’t work unless you shower very late at night. The shower didn’t drain. There was burned plastic in the sheet and a blood stain on the comforter. There were creepy stains on the walls in the bathroom that looked like an accident had happened there but it may have just been a bad wall paper job. The hot tub doesn’t work if that’s something you are looking for. Housekeeping didn’t come while I was there but I was given a new towel when I asked for one and the staff was friendly and helpful. I’m not sure if the breakfast was sparse due to COVID but we went an hour before it closed and there were packed muffins and juice and two microwaveable jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches left. The breakfast area was totally packed and people were just hanging out. I was only there for two nights and decided it probably wouldn’t be much better to ask to switch rooms so maybe somewhere else would be better? There are plenty of hotels in the area so I likely will not try staying here again. I usually stay at Fairfield’s because they generally are the same quality and I’ve never had a problem, but after reading other reviews about no hot water over the past few years I definitely will look closer and think twice about trusting the name.

  The staff was super amazing and friendly. No complaints about that at all. However, the place was sort of rundown and looked not cared for properly. I’m hoping it’s just new staff and they’re trying to fix it up. This place can be beautiful with some upgrades in carpet and furniture and new wall paper since the one in the rooms looks like there’s blood on the wall.

  This hotel overall was not clean especially the Room and in the bathroom the drains did not drain properly when you took a shower by the time you're done you're standing in about a foot of water... When the sink was used It would fill up with water while you were trying to brush your teeth or wash your face. The air conditioner/heater was noisy . And the Room smelt so strong with some sort of an air freshener that it made me nauseous and we had to leave our window open the whole stay in which we could only open it about 6". We went to use the pool area and the hot tub was out of order and the whole pool area was also not clean or in good shape. With all of the events going on in town all of the other hotels were booked so we had nowhere else we could go we were stuck staying there, was not fun.

  The hotel was clean when I arrived. I made a mistake on my reservation but I feel like the front desk person went above and beyond to get me into a room where I would not have to move to another room the next day. There are plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance of the hotel, there are literally probably 10-12 decent places to eat. It is also located just 1-2 blocks off of the interstate highway. The only negative I can say is that the hotel is not near downtown if you are doing business downtown. There were plenty of ridesharing choices in Bismarck which made life easier if you had to go downtown for dinner and drinks.

  The hotel is located in a nice area. The rooms are very spacious but the hotel could use some updating. The breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly. The pool was out of service for the entire 8 day stay, and the fitness room only has two treadmills and an elliptical machine, no other exercise equipment or tv screens inside there.

  The facility was clean. I was disappointed when I called and asked if there were washers and dryers on the ground I was told yes. When I went to wash my clothes I found out they were out of order. This would have been nice to know when I booked the reservation because I was needing somewhere where I could clean my clothes. I Had to hunt down a laundromat after doing a clinical rotation for 12 hrs at the hospital. The last thing I wanted to do was go sit at a laundromat for 1 hour when I could have booked a place with working machines

  My family stayed here last week and had a great stay. The room was clean and comfortable as expected. My daughter had a blast in the pool. 9 hours in the pool in one overnight stay. The staff mentioned that they use salt water chlorination which was nice. The chlorine in some hotel pools is dangerously high and this was just right. No burning eyes! Breakfast was god as well. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and we'll be back next time we need somewhere to stay in Bismarck.

  The staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast had good variety and quality, the interior of the hotel was updated. However, there was a fair bit of sound bleed from the hallway to the rooms, the paint in the bathtubs was peeling, and the exterior and location are so-so.   We enjoyed our stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Bismark North. We had a King Suite which is overall good; the size was just a little smaller compared to other King Suites we've stayed in. The price was wonderful. Breakfast was overall good; they have gluten sensitive items available, which was great! The breakfast staff wasn't very kind when it came to asking what they had to offer for gluten sensitive items, though.

  Hotel was easy to get in and out of. Very clean overall. Two minor issues: pillows were all too thick which made for a fitful sleep, and the breakfast area seating was very strange with a large "communal" table in the middle which reduced the total number of eating areas. Staff was very friendly and the bed was comfortable except for the pillows.

  I had to travel to Bismarck for a medical appointment, so by the time I arrived, I was ready for sleep. The hotel desk clerk was pleasant, without being over the top. She welcomed me sincerely, to Bismarck and to her hotel, which she obviously took great pride in doing. The grounds, lobby, elevator, hallway and room were all meticulously clean. No repair needs that I could see. I had requested a room near the elevator, for medical reasons, and when I got off the elevator, my room was literally two feet away. I worried that I would hear the elevator all night long, but from the time my door closed, I honestly heard nothing. No sounds from the hallway, no sounds from the rooms around me, and no sounds, at all, from the elevator. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure was awesome in the shower, and everything was clean. The internet and TV were great. My room was in front of the hotel, and there are many businesses near by, with bright lights. When I pulled the curtains, my room was DARK. There was no light bleed from outside. I had a very pleasant stay at the Fairfield Inn North, in Bismarck, North Dakota, and I would gladly stay there again, and would highly recommend it to others!

  The room was hot even with the air conditioning set at 60 degrees (December in North Dakota). We could hear the people in the pool from our 2nd floor room. Breakfast was less than desirable with "fake" eggs and turkey sausage. No washable cover over the comforter. Bed was comfortable and staff was professional. With all the available hotels I would not choose to stay here again.

  We had reservations for three nights and were assigned to room 116. Various times during the first night a squeaky door opened and slammed shut which became more frequent around 6am. The heating/cooling unit ran very warm and we were not able to regulate the temp to a cooler setting resulting in a very warm night in addition to the afore mentioned door noise. We complained to the front desk in the morning and the desk clerk apologized and immediately assigned us to a different room with an upgrade. She mentioned the squeaky door was probably from their laundry room, which was close by room 116, and would need WD40 spray for the squeak. We would suggest staff be more considerate of noises they create during nighttime hours where guest rooms are nearby, not only squeaking doors but allowing them to SLAM shut. Our second room was #215, and was pleasantly quiet. The water temp in the shower was barely warm, however. We decided to tolerate that for the remaining two nights and not complain. Interesting to note the water temp from the sink faucet ran hot when turned to that choice. Not sure we will choose this hotel in future visits to Bismarck.

Front desk and general manager very accommodating and kind, as the reason for my stay was to be near St. Alexis hospital with a family member. Would stay again.

  This is the first time we have stayed with this company. After requesting an early check in during our booking, we noticed it said not guaranteed. However, after driving all night- sleeping in the car, we approached desk to find a very kind woman named Nichole. She was able to get us to our room a early. It was quick and painless. We had to go to Hazen for a funeral, the staff got us in to our new room before we left so we didn't have to load up our luggage.   By far this is one of Bismarck's finer hotels. The room was quite and the bed was comfortable so we had an excellent nights sleep. The staff was very caring and helpful. They returned some luggage that we accidently left outside the one entrance. We thought we had lost it. We could not have made a better choice in a hotel. We recommend this hotel to any one in Bismarck, ND on business.

  My husband and I have stayed at this Fairfield inn multiple times and sometimes will do an overnight trip just to stay here. We love the fact that it is within walking distance of Red Lobster and very close to other restaurants and shops but especially within walking distance of Red Lobster. We will definitely stay here again whether for business or just for pleasure to enjoy a night out. The rooms are great too, nice beds and spacious rooms. Hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating as well.

  The cleanliness of the rooms was not up to par nor was the housekeeping services of exemplary standards. Items were not replenished daily and the bed was just minimally made during our stay. The tub and shower area appear to have not been cleaned once during our stay as empty shampoo and conditioner bottles left on the floor of the tub were there our entire stay. Also found items on the floor from past people who had stayed and it appeared that vacuuming occurred on a hit and miss arrangement. Overall very disappointed.

  The room had a strong odor. The wallpaper was peeling. The tile was dirty. The shower had black mildew. I also asked to be placed away from the elevator and exits, and was placed at the end of the hall across from the laundry room and next to the side exit. Needless to say, it was noisy and I was very disappointed and dissatisfied.

  We enjoy staying at the Fairfield Inn hotels and for the most part everything is good. Only a few minor issues with the bathroom setup. The breakfast staff at this hotel was not as good as we normally have, she may have been having a bad day.

  I stayed her one night while in Bismarck on business. The hotel was clean and the room was large. There was a great table to pull up to the couch to work on my computer. I found the bed to be very comfortable as well.

  I was in town for a conference in Mandan and decided to stay here instead. Boy am I glad we did. When we got to the conference, everyone was complaining about that hotel and how unclean it was. We had nothing but a great experience here at Fairfield Inn (as always!).

  Did not have a good stay at the Bismarck location. Started with young lady checking us in could not process our government tax exemption and said we would have to wait till next morning. Air conditioner would not work in my room and did not know this till I needed it in the middle of the night. At 0430 in the morning your dump truck was empting two dumpsters which was way to load outside my window in room 100. Not a good time to do this…, then at 0515 people were rolling their luggage down the stairs next to my room. The young man in the morning did not know how to process tax exemption and took approximately 25 min to complete the transaction after calling a coworker. Still not sure if I was charged correctly on my government card. Also found out the young lady who checked us in put all check-ins for the three of us under one person. Was not granted any rewards points either. So, not a very good stay! Thanks

  Wonderful experience. My friend and I stayed here because we were running in the Bismarck Marathon. When the clerk at the front desk realized why we were they he offered us a complimentary late check out so we could shower after the race. Very few hotels do that! We are booking early for next years race so we can make sure we don't have to stay anywhere else. All of the staff we very friendly and even chatted us up about our race! I won't stay anywhere else when I go to Bismarck :)

  The Fairfield Inn provided us a clean, comfortable and warm stay on one of the colder nights of the year. The desk manager on our arrival was welcoming and helpful. The room was great! And the breakfast was exceptional. Great stay!

  I left my Under Amour sweatpants and t-shirt are staying at the hotel. I didn't realize it until a few days after returning home. I called to check if they found them and they did. They had them put aside with my name on them. Within days, they had it shipped back to me. They would not accept my offer to pay for the shipping. I appreciate the assistance that they provided to return my items.

  The location is excellent for gatherings planned in parks, community room, etc. Rooms were clean and staff was helpful. Room could be well served with an extra chair besides the desk chair. Since the room has two beds, assume two people therefore two chairs.

  This is a great hotel offering excellent service. All of our interactions exceeded our expectations. This was a quiet, comfortable hotel with all of the offerings needed. The breakfast was good and it is right off the freeway.
